Head or Heart?

Mercury’s retrograding again, until July 20^th. The retrogression is happening in the astrological realm of Exchange (Gemini constellation), which has a lot to do with the territories Mercury is responsible for – communication, socializing and thinking – so the retro will have a dominant effect, on most of us, this time.

In the astrological realm of Exchange we can also find, along with Mercury, the Sun itself, Jupiter and Mars. These are all masculine celestial bodies: logical Mercury; practical, warrior, Mars; expanding Jupiter, and the Sun – the great father-figure in the sky…

In contrast to this masculine bunch we can find feminine Venus, planet of womanhood, beauty and love, radiating in the realm of “Giving”- just keeping her distance from the previous bunch. One can clearly see Venus now shining, big and beautiful in the west at sunset.

Venus gives us another option of handling things – the feminine option of approaching things in a gentle, careful, emotional, round way…

So – what would it be for us this week? Going heads on with the masculine-logical-practical planets, or choosing the other way – of loving, feminine Venus?
